Today I picked up my long-awaited quilt
Like many others, I’ve never really enjoyed sleeping in a sleeping bag—I move around a lot and get claustrophobic very easily. I also share my bed with dogs, which made using a separate sleeping bag for them less than ideal, since they prefer to snuggle with me.
The craftsmanship is amazing; the stitching and overall finish are absolutely flawless. I chose the wide option for both the width and the footbox, so there’s plenty of room for both me and the dogs.

I’m absolutely in love with my winter quilt
The fabric is incredibly thin, I sleep on my side, and I tend to get cold easily—but this quilt works perfectly.
I usually feel claustrophobic in sleeping bags, but this quilt gives all the warmth and comfort without that trapped feeling. Truly impressed!

This one will undoubtedly do exactly what it’s supposed to, and the feel in your hands is incredible. Not a stitch out of place. Not a single loose thread. Perfect finishing.

'What quality! Absolutely wonderful.
"Received my second quilt from Vilse today. A pure summer quilt weighing just 419 grams, with a down weight of 250g, including 20g overfill. I’m not sure about the comfort temperature yet, as this was a special project from Henrik, but I’d guess around +5°C. Excited to test it out!"

'New to hiking.
"I had never even tried a quilt before, so even though these are known to be top-tier, I wanted to see and feel them for myself. I gave Henrik a visit in his workshop in Malmö, and after handling the quilts and having a brief chat with him about his philosophy and values, I was convinced. I placed my order almost immediately. Since Henrik handles everything himself, there’s a few weeks lead time."

'Finally had the chance to try my new winter quilt.
"Wonderfully fluffy and comfortable! The quilt wraps around perfectly – the snap buttons sit slightly higher on the outside, which prevents any gaps from forming. I’m also really glad I went for a slightly wider footbox and more width up top, even though Henrik recommended a narrower fit. I toss and turn at least ten times a night, and a too-tight quilt can let in cold air. Plus, my dog sleeps inside the quilt with me, so she needs space too. The craftsmanship is excellent – it feels very well made throughout."

"I used my Vilse this summer and my standards have been higher ever since! It works just as well in a hammock as in a tent, and can be combined with other sleep systems to handle colder weather. Extra fun to be able to choose colors and details, making it just the way you want."

'The craftsmanship and design really impressed me!
"I’ve read many positiv reviews about quilts from Vilse over the summer and fall, and now it’s my time to give credit where credit is due!
I received my quilt at the start of summer and since then it’s joined me on a bunch of adventures — hiking in the mountains and lowlands, paddling in the archipelago, and car camping — in everything from warm nights to just a few degrees above freezing. I haven’t had the chance to push it all the way down to 0°C and really test the limit, but in damp conditions just above freezing, I’ve stayed warm and slept great. The included pad straps and draft collar have kept me cozy with hardly any noticeable drafts. On warmer nights, I’ve skipped the pad straps and just stuck a leg out to regulate the temperature. That worked perfectly, even with the closed footbox — I haven’t once wished I’d gone for an open one instead.
I can confidently say that Henrik’s quilts are top-tier — I’m very happy with mine. If you’re in the market for a quilt, I can echo what many others have said: a Vilse quilt is the way to go!"

'Excellent quality and beautifully crafted.
"Good luck finding a better quilt — that’s all I’m saying. For me, it works even in slightly colder temps than the rated -1°C, and can be boosted further with a down jacket. Bonus points to Henrik for letting you choose your own colors too!
For those who don’t know, Vilse quilts are sewn right in the heart of Malmö, in a small basement workshop (I’ve been there!!). If you’re into local gear and Swedish-made products, Vilse is definitely the way to go. Perfect for anyone who wants to fine-tune their gear down to the smallest detail, but doesn’t want to make it themselves."
