Here's how it all started....
Vilse Equipment began with a single quilt and a change of plans for a summer hike. What started as a side project quickly grew into something more, as the living room transformed into a full-blown workshop, complete with industrial sewing machines, laser cutters and clouds of down.

Vilse is the Swedish word for “getting lost.” While many might think getting lost in the woods or mountains is a bad thing, we see it differently. Losing yourself to the landscape, to the wild, and most importantly, to the comfort of your super-puffy, warm, and ultra lightweight Vilse Quilt.
Today, Vilse is a small team based in Malmö, Sweden. This is where our ideas come to life, new designs are developed, and we take care of customer support and quality control. Our quilts are made in our sister workshop in Konin, Poland, where we work closely with a small team of skilled seamstresses.

We believe in making thoughtful, well-designed gear close to home, with a strong focus on quality, transparency, and European manufacturing. Our goal is to create gear that helps the growing European ultralight community venture further, lighter, safer, and more comfortably.

At its heart, Vilse is about getting out there, exploring more, and finding your own way.
